The Best Moments of Snape- Page 394

Another good Snape moment is when, in the 3rd Year, Snape takes over one of Remus Lupin's Defence Against the Dark Arts classes. He is teaching them about werewolves (coincidence? I think not) and Harry isn't paying much attention.

[Snape Enters].
Snape: Turn to page 394.
[Rustle of books]
Ron: Werewolves?
Snape: Can anyone tell me the difference between an Anamagious and a Werewolf?
[Snape paces the isle. Hermione raises her hand but Snape ignores her.]
Snape: No one? How disappointing.
Hermione: Please, Sir. An Anamagious is a wizard who elects to change into an animal. A werewolf ha no choice.
[Malfoy howls like a werewolf]
Snape: Thank you, Mister Malfoy. That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable in restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insuffrable little Know-It-All?
[Snape sets homework on werewolves].
Harry: But Sir, it's Quiddich tomorrow!

Snape: Then you shall have to be extra careful. Broken limbs will not be an excuse!
[leans over Harry]
Snape: Page 394.

Page 394 seems to be Snapes's favourite page...
